About slnlaw.
We are a small law firm with offices in Sharon, Massachusetts and the hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. We have worked with thousands of individuals facing employment challenges, including wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, non-compete agreements and qualifying for unemployment.
About the unemployment roadmap.Unemployment is such an important part of the safety net for people who find themselves between jobs, and we are happy to help where we can. Many times, however, we are fighting an uphill battle because people did not have all the right information when they first applied for benefits. Also, there are some parts of the process where it simply does not make sense to pay lawyers to intervene- again, we have come to believe that if people had the right information, they could take care of many aspects of the process without dipping into their benefits to pay a lawyer.
So we developed the roadmap, to give a low cost resource to all people seeking to receive benefits, or to challenge a claim of overpayment. We have noted in the roadmap the places in the process where it makes sense to hire a lawyer, but still tried to give you what you need to know if you decide to represent yourself. |
Established in 2009The solo practice of our founder, which eventually became slnlaw, was started in Sharon in 2009. In addition to our employment law work, we offer advice and representation in business law matters, and help individuals and families create estate plans that protect and preserve their legacies and achieve their goals.
|
Our GoalOur goal is to provide excellent legal services and practical solutions to families, individuals, and small businesses who need help in our areas of practice. Even though we can't actively represent everyone, we believe everyone should have the information that they need to protect their interests. That is why we created the roadmap, and why you will find a wealth of free information on our main website at www.slnlaw.com.
