Submitting Your Unemployment Application

You can submit your application for unemployment benefits online (linked to the button below).  It is difficult to script this part, because the questions vary from application to application based on your answers to other questions.  We have tried to set forth below explanations for the major categories of questions to help you think through how to answer them.

Tips and Suggestions

This section is focused on the reason for separation.  That is the most common problem in the application, and one that can often be fixed by understanding what information DUA really needs to determine eligibility.

If You Quit or Resigned

If you select quit or resigned, you will be directed to a series of questions about why.

Here is what you need to understand- you can collect if you quit for an urgent or compelling reason that is not your fault, but the DUA will ask about some underlying facts to help them make that determination.  Below are some examples of reasons you might have quit that should not disqualify you....
